A whole new RESPECT
Sep 24, 2008

Kai and I are down in San Diego babysitting for our cousins Aaron and Amy, their 17 month old Riley. I have a whole new RESPECT for Moms of more than one kid. Whooo I am beat. These 2 little WILD monkeys are precious but exhausting. To all the women out there who have more than one. My hats is off to you!

Right now everything smells like poop, I am hungry, I have kid songs running through my head, and the house needs to be picked up. I am starting to realize my age, because this experience is making me feel old. But it is definitely double the joy and laughs. Watching them play together is hysterical.

I will post a picture next week when I get home and just have one little crazy man running around. Well, I will try because I will also be packing for Kai and my next adventure in North Carolina. Life is full these days!

3 little monkey's
Sep 20, 2008

When I lived in Nicaragua I had a "pet" monkey. I named him Tony and he was my little buddy. He would come into my room and steal things (like my keys) and play with my rotating fan. I LOVED him! LOVED LOVED LOVED! I have so many fun memories with that little monkey. He had the ability to come into my life, shake things up and make me laugh. I call Kai "monkey" and it is because he has the ability bring me back into the joy in the moment and want to sqeeze every bit of fun out of it.

Well, when we were in Jackson I had the PLEASURE of seeing a dear friend Annie and her 3 little monkeys. From the minute they arrived they were wild. THEY WERE SO MUCH FUN! They were running, jumping, hiding, rolling, and laughing through the whole encounter. It was so much fun to see them. I will cherish the memories from that day, it was so special to see how they interacted as sisters and with their beautiful Mom. Those 3 monkeys stole a piece of my heart.

Jott it down
Sep 16, 2008

I just heard about the *COOLEST* service, it is called Jott, you call (866) JOTT-123 / (866) 568-8123 and you are able to say what it is you want to type, for those who aren't good typist, it's a perfect service. I have been non-stop "jotting" since I heard about it. I have set up my cell phone and home number so I can "jott" all the time. You can even "jott" something and it will be sent as a text message. So now there is NO reason for someone to be texting while driving.

Driving while distracted can be deadly, and it’s suspected, but not known for sure yet, that the engineer of a Los Angeles Metrolink commuter train may have been text messaging when the train ran a stop signal, crashing into an oncoming freight engine. There is never a good excuse for texting while driving, NEVER!

Ok--I will get off my soapbox. Other fun uses for "jotting" is To-Do Lists, Grocery Lists, drafting a quick e-mail, or even "jotting" what you eat, so you can keep a food journal. It is pretty effective when you are about to eat a piece of Chocolate cake, if you have to place a phone call and tell on yourself. You then get an e-mail in your inbox with the context of what you Jotted or ate!

I am pretty excited about this! Can you tell?

Happy Monday!
Sep 15, 2008

Well it was another busy weekend but a FUN one! I had the pleasure of doing some family pictures/ maternity pictures for the Merica-Jones family. I will be posting a few of them soon. It was really smart of them to do family pictures now for their Christmas cards, so they are going to be prepared when December pokes its head around the corner. Because Christmas is going to be here before we know it. Yes, there is Halloween and Thanksgiving first but somehow every year Christmas still sneaks up on me.

Kai is discovering how many expression he can make with that cute little face of his. He has been practicing them in mirrors or anything with a reflection. I thought I would share a few with you.

Also, My prayers and thoughts are with Jasmine Star and her family as they face her Mom battling cancer again. Her Mom's story with the first fight can be found in the pages of Jasmine's blog. It is a miracle filled story! If you have never read Jasmine's Blog-- then treat yourself. Make yourself a cup of tea and prepare to get lost in the virtual pages of her blog. She is a firecracker of inspiration and an incredible writer and photographer. Basically she is the whole package and a sweet heart as well. She has inspired my business like none other and I can't help but want to model her zest for God, Marriage, Life, Photography, Service and Fun! (Can you tell that I like her?) Here is the link to her site: Jasmine Star Photography

The Tree of Good and Evil?
Sep 9, 2008

First off- I am more of a computer dork than I ever thought I would be. I just scheduled my life around a Steve Jobs/Apple event. Ok--I will be truthful. I didn't just schedule around it, I obsessed about it! And now I am left sad! There is no new news for the MacBook Pro. :( If you want an new iPod Nano then I guess your in luck, I will try to just be happy for those people while I continue to work on my patience.

I have been waiting to jump to Apple for a while now. I didn't want to make the switch and then have a new product revealed days after--that would stink. I have been a PC girl forever and now I am going to have to keep on waiting ~ and working on my old and boring PC. Bummer

Eve got tempted by an Apple--hmmmm I wonder if I am falling into the same trap?

Older and Wiser
Sep 7, 2008

30 years ago today my sweet husband entered the world and he has been rocking out ever since. I am so excited to say that he had a Happy Birthday and the day was filled with well wishes and fun videos of friends and lots of love. I am just so excited that so many friends were able to celebrate with us at The Green Temple. It was a fun night with good food and Travis felt loved.

By the way--Kai decided he wanted to be dressed as Elmo, he didn't like what I had picked out for him. That cracked me up!
