There is something about the truth in a child's eyes. Childhood is a magical time and this little girl is as sweet as they come. I was going to meet and photograph her new baby sister, Bente. But there was something special about the look in this big sisters eyes - it really touched me.
Here is sweet Bente. Only a couple of days old, and soooo precious.
Life is so fragile, so precious and such a gift. To see the ring that represents her parent's commitment to each other, hang from her tiny foot makes me smile. Especially since the ring was made by the bride's mother. Life goes by so quickly, and the greatest gifts can't be bought in a store.
We hurried back to Jackson, not due to happy circumstances, but we are learning that life has many seasons. We lost a good man and friend Al Forbes, and we came back to pay our respects and condolences to the family. While we have been in Jackson, we have been sad but also seen how amazing this life is and how it can be cut short. Al's funeral really made an impact on Travis and I. We walked out of the service wanting to live with more purpose and love with our whole hearts.
We have been spending time with friends and family. One of our newest little family members in Addison. She is a dream baby. She smiles and coos and then smiles some more. I have found myself taking lots of pictures of her. She is such a little angel.
